Esophagectomy

You’ll spend one to two weeks in the hospital following your procedure. Once you’re home, recovery time will range from two to six weeks before you can return to normal activities.
Gastrectomy
If you have symptoms such as bleeding, inflammation, tumors, or polyps in your stomach, you may need a gastrectomy. After a gastrectomy, you’ll spend six to 10 days in the hospital. Depending on your situation, you can return back to your normal activities in two to six weeks.
